DON'T WORRY: ENTHUSIASM and COURAGE CHANGE YOUR BRAIN WAVES

Worry is ingratitude in advance. ~ Who said that?
Enthusiasm and courage actually change your brain waves, which means you can sculpt your own reality if you'll just STOP when you are in panic or stress, take a time-out and breathe.  Stop and center yourself. Mentally claim dominion over your reality.
Fear is "False Evidence Appearing Real" and you have nothing to fear. I have been through a lot of stress lately with my mother being rushed to ER, and with our sweet dog Chazzy's sudden death. Also, the fear of financial insecurity that seems to pervade all our lives as we navigate the new economy -- I'm accidentally running a sober recovery house. (More on that later.)
But I've experienced absolute transformation when I surrender my worries and fears to a Higher Power. I call this force GOOD or God, but you can call it LOVE or Nature. The important thing is to realize you are not alone, and you are loved. Use all of us - picture ALL your loved ones as your HP (Higher Power.)  Picture all the good guys of mankind as your higher power.
I have spine-tingling, first hand evidence that miracles are natural laws of the universe. What I call "a miracle" is simply the amazing secret knowledge that there is a law of nature that actually rescues me when I am stressed or in fear. It actually heals my body when I depend on this power. When I relax and 'let go" and pray (which means I yell HELP) or silently cry out to the Universe for help — help always comes.  And when I help someone else, my suffering vanishes.
"Share your pain you cut it in half; share your joy, you double it."
AND don't forget this: "You can be attractive even if you’re not good looking because if you radiate love you attract people! (That’s a joke I wrote.) Scientists have discovered that brain activity produces waves that are measurable according to your level of serenity or agitation. And Einstein said, “No problem can be solved on the same level it was created on.” In other words, you can't fight fire with fire; you can't cure alcoholism with more alcohol; you can’t start a war to create peace — you have to go to a higher level — a spiritual or diplomatic solution. Or as George Carlin put it, “Fighting for peace is like screwing for virginity.”

Veterans at Home, on a Mission of Compassion

By TINA ROSENBERG

Rachel Gutierrez was an army sergeant in Iraq, but back home in Phoenix she leads a platoon. At 2:30 in the morning last Oct. 18, members of the 1st Platoon Phoenix   gathered at an all-night McDonalds in a bad neighborhood downtown. Their mission was to comb the streets for chronically homeless veterans (who tend to sleep in groups but scatter during the day) and register them to get housing and other services.

HOW TO OVERCOME FEAR, STRESS AND WORRY ~ CELEBRITY IN AMERICA ~ THE LUST FOR FAME

Every morning when you wake up, immediately think of something to be grateful for. My friend lost her eyesight and has no vision, so she created an inner vision: a second vision radio show to find the lost dream inside her.
List 5 things to be grateful for. Add a new one each day and really feel how lucky you are.
You can see what the power of focused energy can do in an emergency: if someone is stressed, send her love and light in a quiet, caring way. It comes from your own thought about the person. You have to see them as whole, relaxed, healthy and resilient. Within minutes the person begins to relax, her face brightens up, she is becoming lighter. This is what some call ‘energy materializing.’
Enthusiasm and courage actually change your brain waves, which means you can be attractive even if you’re not good looking because if you radiate love you attract people!
After my TV series ended, I dropped out of acting to avoid the terror of auditioning. But every now and then a juicy role like Howard Stern’s “The Phantom Dildo” would come along. I was furious with my agent for submitting me for such a sleazy MTV pilot, but then I thought, “I better hurry and get ready.” When I didn’t get the part, I was crushed. Nothing is worse than not getting a part you don’t want, that's beneath you."
There was an agent at APA who wouldn’t represent me unless I was dating someone famous. “Are you dating anyone cool who can make you hot?” he asked.
“Just Nicolas Cage,” I replied.

“Okay, that will work,” he said. “But if he dumps you, we dump you.”

SEX TALK at the HOLLYWOOD SHOW:

I am exciting to be directing an upcoming indie film that I wrote, as well as bringing these projects to life. Am mulling over two reality shows and a hybrid reality comedy show that a producer approached me about.

Have finally finished writing three new humor books and am about to start pre-production on an indie film I'm directing. Also am co-starring in two indie films coming up: "Thug in Love" a film by Mike Timm and "Moon Over Atlantis"

THE GREATEST EVENT IN TELEVISION HISTORY - ADAM SCOTT, JOHN HAMM, ADULT SWIM

Last night on Adult Swim, Adam Scott unloaded the third installment of his The Greatest Event in Television History project with an attempt at re-creating the opening credits of the oft-forgotten early-eighties Ted Knight sitcom Too Close for Comfort. He donned the rugby shirt and sheepish affect of Monroe, a character name that will cause any fan of the series to bellow, à la Knight’s bombastic softie Henry Rush (played here by Jon Glaser), “Oh, Monroe!” How’d this little reenactment — which also co-starred Catherine O’Hara, Kathryn Hahn, and Brooklyn Nine-Nine’s Chelsea Peretti — go? You be the judge, with this handy side-by-side comparison of the original and remade opening-credits sequence. (The bovine hand puppet’s name, if you’re wondering, is Cosmic Cow, the namesake of the syndicated comic strip drawn by Henry Rush.) ~ From Vulture

I love Adam Scott. With Catherine O'Hara, KathrynHahn, Chelsea Peretti, Jon Glaser, John Hamm

ARTS & ENTERTAINMENT: OUR PODCAST ‘BEATS & EATS’ TAKES OFF on STITCHER and iTUNES

TACOMA WEEKLY

ARTS & ENTERTAINMENT: LOCAL PODCAST ‘BEATS & EATS’ TAKES OFF

1 ofWith just a microphone and a computer, Tacoma resident Ty Ray has broadcast his voice all over the world, and people are starting to listen.
Ray’s podcast, “Beats & Eats,” has begun to earn a huge following, and was nominated for the 2013 Sticher Awards in San Francisco, a celebration honoring excellence in podcasting. “Beats & Eats” was recognized in the Food and Wine category.
Boxing Ray and his co-host Nick Gelso into one category is a huge mistake, as the show covers the entire pantheon of pop culture – everything from music to comedy to television to yes, food and wine.
“The concept was two guys getting together at a really cool, hip, happening bar after work, having some cocktails, sitting and talking to each other,” Ray said.
Ray was involved with sports broadcasting in the Pacific Northwest for over 20 years, while Gelso has owned restaurants and is currently a food consultant.
“We mesh together. It’s great. We bring all sorts of different knowledge to the table and it just kind of works as the perfect cocktail,” Ray said.
The twist in the relationship is that neither of the co-hosts has actually met the other in person. While Ray broadcasts from his Tacoma home in the Stadium District, Gelso is situated in Scranton, Pa.
“I think that speaks to the power of technology, to the power of the Internet and I think to the power of podcasting,” Ray said.
Ray and Gelso met when Ray began podcasting about the Boston Celtics in spring of 2012. When Gelso heard the podcast, he decided to ask Ray to take part in his Internet radio station, CLNS, based out of Boston.
“What we found is we’d get on these phone calls with each other talking about the Celtics, and then we’d talk about food, music, movies and wine and the next thing you know it would be a two-hour phone call,” Ray said. “One day we just said to each other, why don’t we make this a show?”
With that idea in mind, “Beats & Eats” was launched in October 2013 on iTunes and Sticher, a podcast app for Android. A big part of becoming a part of the Sticher family is being eligible for the Sticher award, where podcast fans can nominate their favorite Sticher shows for various categories.
Despite only being around for four months, “Beats & Eats” was nominated in Food and Wine against competition like cooking superstar Alton Brown, who ended up taking home the award, which Ray was okay with. As the co-host who brings more “Beats” than “Eats,” Ray was nervous to accept an award for Food and Wine.
“I thought if we win this award, I’m going to go up there, and I don’t even know how to boil water,” Ray said of his nerves.
Just being nominated saw the podcast get a huge bump in popularity, with the show’s Twitter followers jumping from 200 to about 1,500 after the nomination. Today, the Twitter account has around 7,000 followers.
The Sticher Awards gave Ray the opportunity to meet his peers and see the world of podcasting up close.
“It was a room full of entrepreneurs,” Ray said.
The host’s background in broadcasting gives him a unique insight into the future of podcasting.
“The beauty of podcasting is, from my own apartment with a USB mic and a laptop, I can create something and I can compete against the big boys,” Ray said.
Not only can Ray compete with big corporations from his small apartment in Tacoma, he now has reach all over the world. His favorite moment in the show came when a cab driver in Milan tweeted a picture of himself listening to the podcast.
“I just pictured this cab driver in Italy, having perhaps a horrible day, and somehow we were making it better,” Ray said. “That was very moving to me.”
The guys just don’t keep the party to themselves; “Beats & Eats” has already featured several different guests. Ray’s love for rock ‘n’ roll recently brought “X-Factor” contestant Jeff Gutt to the show, while his love of the 80’s inspired him to get Gavin MacLeod of “The Love Boat” fame for an interview.
With the success the guys have had, they have been able to expand “Beats & Eats” into its own network. Now, rather than just being one show, the “Beats & Eats” website features shows from the likes of “Hell’s Kitchen” contestant Barret Beyer, MTV’s “Awkward” star Matthew Fahey and actress Lydia Cornell.
Ray hopes to one day podcast for a living, but for now his success has given him an opportunity to live his dream.
“This has really rejuvenated me. This has given me new life. It’s letting me pursue my passion again,” Ray said.
“Beats & Eats” can be downloaded from iTunes or Sticher, and the entire network can be found at http://66.147.244.83/~beatsan2/.

THANK YOU!! LOVE YOU XOXOXOOXXOXOXOXO

Valerie Harper is DOING GREAT!! She is amazing. She has the most beautiful spirit and finds joy n every moment. She knows that we are all terminal and we just have to find the joy in every single moment. Don't let a minute of your life go by that you are complaining or whining or not appreciating LIFE. It is totally what you make it. "Bloom where you're planted." Love her and loved reminiscing about Ted Knight and Mary Tyler Moore.
