HOLLYWOOD SHOW * CHILDREN'S CHARITIES * IMAGINE L.A.

Proceeds from sales on this site and from all my autograph shows go to Imagine L.A. "Where no child sleeps on the street"; Feed the Children, PATH (People Assisting the Homeless) and the Red Cross.

Look at my son Jack, on my birthday. He refused to smile and was embarrassed to sit next to me in case his friends saw him. Check out his crooked half smile in every pic... Hilarious!

Birthday with the family at Islands. The other kids (which includes hubby) were sitting opposite us. Went to see HARRY POTTER after dinner. The kids refused to go, but I LOVED THE NEW HARRY POTTER!! I'm a geek, what can I say? Love fantasy, magic, horror and sci fi. Now I see a resemblance between RUPERT GRINT AND MICK JAGGER as far as sex appeal goes! I couldn't se how Hermoine wouldn't be more attracted to Harry Potter, but Rupert is SEXY!! Draco Malfoy is positively sinister. And I adored Jim Broadbent, one of my favorite actors. So funny!

Now I'm reading the 7th Harry Potter book THE DEATHLY HALLOWS.

GREAT WEEKEND in Burbank at the Hollywood Show!

IN WITHDRAWAL

FROM CLEAVAGE...

I am so sick of cleavage! But I can't quit cold turkey. I'm not spiritually evolved enough yet to stop dressing like a hooker, but I did try on a turtleneck the other day. You can't get a job in this town without "lap dancer" on your resume, and I'm referring to the writers, not the actors.

Ran into so many old friends, flames and great stars like Don Most, Rosanna Arquette, Shannon Doherty, Kathy Najimy, Kristy Swanson, Angie Everhart, Tanya Roberts...and of course my big swiss, Deborah Van Valkenburgh.

********
Here are a few iphone snapshots with really bad lighting and a really stupid smile on my face.

Photo #1. BRADY BUNCH stars Chris Knight and Barry Williams

Photo #2: HAPPY DAYS: Anson Williams, Don Most. LOVE THEM!! (Donny and I go way back.)

Photo #3: DAVY JONES OF THE MONKEES

Photo #4:

"

Jack Riley was one of our favorite guest stars on Too Close for Comfort.

Bill Dailey has always been a favorite since "I DREAM OF JEANIE" days! We got to talk for about 3o minutes. He has an amazing life in New Mexico and directs theater there.

One of my favorite people is Rosanna Arquette. I got to say hi and she was so sweet, but I wish I had told her how much I adore her.

Saw the gorgeous Bond Girls Maud Adams and Tanya Roberts.

Kristy Swanson is also a favorite (the original "Buffy the Vampire Slayer") Richard Kiel was there, and all the Jasons from Friday the 13th, including my old friend Warrington Gillette :) Good to see you Warrington. I have fond memories of Aspen! But I don't really remember that much, since those were the wild days of lost brain cells.

My favorite Twilight Zone and Star Trek guest star WARREN STEVENS sat right to my left. He is so amazing, so brilliant. His wife was named Lydia and he has some great sons. I wish I could have stayed and just visited with all the stars, but we couldn't leave our tables. I used to do these shows and never get to walk around.

"The Valley Girls Grew Up" Thank you to Gail Lara of Made in the Valley!

The gifting suite was amazing. "Happy Chocolates" and all the products they gave us from BEE GORGEOUS all natural lotion bars, scrubs, and honey (miel) veil body treatments.

I also loved the homemade chili from MAJESTIC CHEF the best chili maker in the world! Check out a MAJESTIC CHEF CHILI and get some of this amazing chili.

Also, we got these ultra- comfy Oka shoes,

** ONE OF A KIND jewelry from "Not Just Any Old Day" silver calendar creations!!
Star Mineral lip gloss; SANITAS Skin Care - the most scrumptious lemon cleanser;
Marabel Farms Cocoa Beans;

E3 Live BrainON BRAIN FUEL THAT REPLACES PHARMACEUTICALS!

Twisted Silver brass bracelet from a unique jewelry store.

Bedol - A REVOLUTIONARY WATER-POWERED CLOCK!

NAJA TEA - HIBISCUS made with apricots, peaches and dried raspberries;
Organic Spray Tan! from Spray di Sole;
Skin Body Shop Spa;

More... Chocolee Chocola; Garden Kisses Flower Shop; Pilates Plus in Malibu; Head Blade; Affliction Clothing... and lots more. I will profile these amazing organic, Valley Made in the USA hand-crafted products in the new blog coming soon...

Of course hanging out with Deb who played Jackie, my sister was the BEST!! She is my favorite celebrity and one of the best actresses in the stratosphere.

"Sara and Jackie" — Lydia and her Too Close for Comfort costar, Deborah Van Valkenburgh — signed autographs and had a blast meeting fans and taking pictures at the HOLLYWOOD SHOW at the Burbank Hilton in Burbank California For directions and more info check out: Hollywood Show.com

Proceeds from Lydia's sales go to children's & women's charities.

SOBER FEMMES RECOVERY CENTER FUNDRAISER July 11 in North Hollywood

On Saturday night, July 11, Lydia hosted the First Sober Femmes Fundraiser for Unit A Recovery Center in Burbank, California. Please feel free to donate any amount to keep the center alive and the rent paid. UNIT A has AA meetings, Al Anon meetings, and other life-saving 12-step meetings day and night. They desperately need funds. Here is the address to send a check if you can:

Unit A Recovery Center
10641 Burbank Blvd.
North Hollywood, CA.

Cornell is a women and children’s advocate, and an inspirational speaker on teen suicide prevention — as well as on drug and alcohol abuse.

Sober for fourteen years, Cornell found her younger brother’s body after a drug overdose, and speaks to recovery groups of up to 300 or more. She is a mother of tweenagers.

She also speaks at schools, colleges, hospitals and women’s groups about her experiences in overcoming loss, tragedy, unemployment, sexism, ageism, depression, self-sabotage, obnoxious teenagers — and every imaginable hardship. Her talks are laced with poignant stories of transformation with an innate sense of comic timing. “If you can laugh at yourself you probably won’t kill yourself.”

People may be sick of hearing about celebrities are in recovery, but as Dr. Drew Pinsky of Celebrity Rehab says, “Addiction is the disease of our time.” Alcohol is the number one drug of choice among teens in America. Young people are in crisis; girls ages 10-15 have the lowest self-esteem and highest rate of suicide attempts of any other group. Add to this the fact that over 85% of violent crime is alcohol and drug related, and we have an epidemic — yet this is rarely mentioned in media reports.

What would cause a once-gifted child to drink to excess, and to risk the life of her own child?

No one ever talks about the hidden element, the most vital element of recovery, which is often ignored in mainstream TV and press. And no one asks the root question: why is everyone in rehab? What breed of person comes to Hollywood seeking the adoration of strangers? Wanting to be famous is an American malaise.

Cornell does not mince words. She has experienced true miracles in sobriety, but people rarely delve into this crucial aspect of 12-step programs. “It’s not enough to put down the drug or drink; once you put down the ‘spirits’ you have to fill the void with a lasting peace. You have to go out in the world and live your life with joy,” Cornell writes.

Cornell answers some hard questions about celebrity and why so many kill themselves with drugs and alcohol — from someone who has not only been there herself, but who lost friends and loved ones. But Cornell overcomes the universal urge to blame others and play the victim. As Michael Jackson said, “It all starts with the man in the mirror.” Or in the words of Stuart Smalley, “It's easier to wear slippers than to carpet the whole world.”

  1. "That slutty flight attendant look." This, Clif, as opposed to, what, that classy, chaste flight attendant look. Of course, it was an insult to flight attendants, you ignoramus. And, Clif, it is NEVER (regardless of whether you hate the person or not), EVER, acceptable to use the term slutty to describe a female politician. How would you respond if a conservative had said that about Barbara Boxer, say. You would have been outraged and you would have been justified. You're the hypocrite, Mr. Unemployable.

  2. I brought up Letterman's situation to underscore the fact that this fellow has absolutely NO right to judge ANYBODY. And, yes, if he wants to take cheap shots at others, it would probably be best if he got in own house in order first.

Are you talking about racist Jeff Sessions or arrogant, patronizing Lindsay Graham, both unqualified to hold public office?

    ReplyDelete
  4. She is a mother of tweenagers.

    tweenagers?

Way to publicly embarrass them Lydia.

  5. it is NEVER (regardless of whether you hate the person or not), EVER, acceptable to use the term slutty to describe a female politician.;

    as opposed to,

Will "take no prisoners" Hart said...

I'd absolutely write a speech for her, Clif. She'd have to show me her boobs, though.

Pot, kettle, widdle will you know the rest.

    Freakin' HYPOCRITE

    ReplyDelete
  6. I said that I'd ask to see her boobs, Clif. I didn't say that she'd show them to me. And I didn't call her slutty. I wouldn't want to see a slutty woman's boobs, Clif. Would you?

    ReplyDelete
  7. Nice attempt at avoiding the obvious "skippy".

    ReplyDelete
  8. You know whether you are the pot or kettle son.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Me thinks pot since the kettle is the larger of the two and you are a scrawny attention seeking foole.

    ReplyDelete
  10. I said that I'd ask to see her boobs,

.... soooo sexism is OK-dokey when widdle will does it, but not when somebody his reich-wing friends are currently mad at does it?

    what a freakin HYPOCRITE.

  13. I check out chicks, Clif. I don't care if they're Republican or Democrat. And like I said there, numbnuts, I didn't call ANYBODY slutty or talk about anybody's daughters. So, yeah, you're wrong, as usual. "got knocked up in the 7th inning by Alex Rodriguez" That's what Letterman said, bozo. In your mind, I guess that this is acceptable (only because it was heaved at a Republican's child), huh? Man, you are one disgusting individual.

  14. Numbnuts;

    you were making the sexist comments while attacking Letterman for doing it;

  16. I am a Cherokee, and I lost count of the number of my relatives that drowned their lives in the cups years ago. I do know, for certain, that a lot of it in the case of my own relatives and acquaintances all had to do with hope; if you don't have any, you don't care.

Thanks to 30 years of "conservative" policies in this country, hope is about as rare as a Rushpublican that isn't burning crosses. I don't know how we even begin to actually give the unfortunate many any real hope.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Huge difference between calling somebody hot and calling them slutty. And, really, Clif, you shouldn't be judging anybody on the topic of sexual inappropriateness; all that homophobic humor you laid on my and Volt's doorstep.

Hey, I can hide behind anonymouse handles if I want. It's a free country.

Can we talk about Jeff Sessions? He is an avowed racist. He said he admired the Ku Klux Klan (until he found out they smoke pot.)

Sessions said the NAACP was too "civil rights oriented" or to "stop ramming civil rights down our throats!

Why does this jerk get to sit in judgment of anyone? Why does he get free national government health insurance for himself and all his family, paid for by you and me. Yet he is such a bigot and a horrible example of an American.

How embarrassing for the world to see a man like this and all the others, including Lindsay Graham, repeatedly focusing on race and trying to attack a very thoughtful judge for being a racist because they were too hateful and stupid to really understand the context of her statement 8 YEARS AGO at an inspirational talk to a group of Latina women who needed someone to encourage them to go for their dreams.

Scalia talked about his Italian heritage. And he has the biggest chip on his shoulder. He is fueled by hate and resentment of anyone in the lower classes.

  19. I don't want my relatives to chase me down. They have guns! And they think they are Christians!

So I will not use my name.

    ReplyDelete
  20. But you know who I am.

And who on earth made the rule here that we can't use anonymous handles?

That is ridiculous. This is my blog and I say its fine.

In fact, please come up with clever ones.

  21. Hell Lydia, Sessions BACKED Judge Pickering for a appellate court bench AFTER it was exposed pickering defended a racist who burned a cross on an African American families lawn.

Historians' Petition Against the Nomination of Charles Pickering, Sr.

    To wit;

"members of the Senate are (or should be) aware of the facts involved in Judge Pickering’s intervention on behalf of a man convicted of burning a cross in Mississippi— an action that several independent legal ethics experts have called a flat-out violation of the ethics code for federal judges."

Funny when a republican leaning judge defends racist ACTIONS by another, that seems OK by republicans.

But they get to LIE about the meaning of the words Sotomayor speaks,

Double standard hypocrites the lot of them.

  22. Huge difference between calling somebody hot and calling them slutty.

Yo dingle berry, you didn't call her "hot"

You said you wanted her to expose herself to you.

  26. Clif, I'd like to see Courteney Cox's boobs, too. And Felicity Huffman's. And Kristin Scott Thomas's. And Diane Lane's. And Helena Bonham Carter's. And Naomi Watts's. If all of this makes me a sexist, then, yeah, I'm a flat-out sexist.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Still, though, Clif, I've never referred to any female politician as slutty. And I've never slimed the children of any politician. That stuff is far off the table, in my opinion. Yeah, kind of like that noxious penchant of yours; comparing people who disagree with you to Nazis.

  28. Hey, Lydia, that lady who played your sister kind of reminds me of Karen Valentine (Room 222). You remember her, right?

    ReplyDelete
  29. Lydia...
I wish we were still on the same coast. I wish I could have been there the night of your hosting. I remember back when my entertainment career was moving so fast I let it get away from me. I guess...I KNOW I didn't handle the long hours on the sets and the hanging around that goes on behind the scenes. I was very ego driven and if I didn't have the spotlight...or couldn't steal it when I was doing live stuff...I got myself to a place of a bunch of no good! Thank you for your intervention when we were neighbors! Lyd...if you didn't live near me in Beverly Hills...I know I would just another stupid statistic. The whole "life in the fast lane" is very real in showbiz...and in real life...even today, I don't drink and drug anymore but, I let my "isms" go wild. I know you know all about my temper...and how I can bait people to feel just as bad as I do sometimes. I know you've been there for some fall out. Way back when I lived there up until now. I try to do my best everyday but, have to remain aware of what I have the potential to do. I pray...big and small. I pray for peace and harmony in my body and mind...all the way to peace and harmony on the planet. I'm sure I'm going to catch some heat from your bloggers but, they don't pay my rent or taxes...so until they show me their papers as the "new messiah" or the supreme ruler of the universe they should read, respond in accordance to what this topic and what I'm saying is all about.
Aside from our friendship...you know I follow you and your brilliant writings and awesome comedy...and I privvy enough to know a bit of what's in store from you to the world.
I think in a lot of ways a lot of people that don't have problems with "substances" have the same behaviors as those that face or have faced or continue to face that deadly disease. It took me a long time to call it a disease that needed to be surrendered to. My doctor said, "Jimmy, I know you've heard the whole diabetic needing insulin stories...and you need to treat your disease etc...but can you look around you at all the fall out from your addictions. I had a moment of clarity when, I as an adult sat on the floor in the middle of the late August heat...in the dark...and put my head in my grandmother's lap...and just cried and cried. She in her simple but, oh so wise way said to me that she'll always love me but, I needed to get ahold of my "bad case of nerves" because it's killing her and my mom. She said, it's not so bad...and sometimes when you don't feel like it you just have to push yourself...nerves and all. I got sober...with her help, my mom's, my doctor...and you calling my "critically acclaimed nuthouse" to tell and read to me Emmet Fox's Golden Key. You listened...and offered advice from your own experiences...I spent so much time listening to my disease that I didn't listen to anyone else's voice. Not even my own. So back to my gradmother...Do you get what she was telling me? It was killing the people I loved and that loved me the most...watching me die a little bit more everyday. She told me I was no different than her or anyone else. I just needed to push myself sometimes...even with my bad nerves..."Fake it until you make it" hello...

    ReplyDelete
  30. ...continued...

From the intensity of the horror as Dewars, Coke, Painkillers etc...tore me up and down...in the middle of it all I would bold face lie and call you crazy if you even suggested I MIGHT have a problem. You...so long ago was the outspoken one that nailed me and told me straight out that I was an addict/alcoholic. Not in those words but, you didn't beat around the bush. I got sober right after you...had a little tune up not long later...
    And Lydia...
Thank you from all my heart for saving my ass. As you know I can call the shots for you me and everyone...you pretty much told me...uhhh...no.
For the people that have the luxury for a posh rehab...or just an outpatient...it is very, very worth it. I know I'm not here for just me. I belong to all of those that love me...you pointed that out again and again. Today, I dig myself. I'm in love. Great family. And as you and others know I was able to hand my sister and grandmother...from my arms...back to God. Those were 2 of the biggest honors in my life. I wasn't in a selfish state of mind where I'm hanging with a demon sipping on it's newest brew.
A million different stories, excuses, reasons...it's all the same baby.
Recovery starts with yourself and God...and one person...and trust...and you kind of have to send your ego back to hell.
    Thank you Lydia...
    Thank you God..
    Don't stop you two.
The many you reach...like me...were able to laugh, cry, forgive, live, love...and return the favor...
    Full Circle.
    Love you bright eyes.
    Jim

  52. I just checked out the "Hollywood Show" website to see who was going to be there and it looks INCREDIBLE!

I couldn't believe all the stars that are going to be at this show. There are all sorts of stars from modern TV shows like Battlestar Galactica and such, and some of the GREATS from the old days.

Tom Bosely's (Mr C) from Happy Days will be there as well as Anson Williams (Potsie), Donny Most (Ralph Malph), Marion Ross(Mrs C) and Erin Moran (Shortcake) and even Henry Winkler (The FONZ, AYYYYYYYYYYYY) is going to be there.

And remember Bill Daly? From I dream of Jeannie (Major Healy) and the Bob Newhart Show (Howard Borden)? He's going to be there.

Mike Lookinland and Chris Knight and Barry Williams from the Brady Bunch will be there (Bobby and Peter and Greg) and get this.

Even Davy Jones from the Monkee's will be there. And then there's Shelly Hack from Charlies Angels, Kristy Swanson (hubba hubba), Jason Mewes (Jay and Silent Bob), Taylor Dayne, and even some of the old greats will be there.

Tommy KIRK will be there. I didn't even know he was still around. Tommy Kirk from all the old beach party movies and the great "OLD YELLER". We grew up watching him.

So will Alan Young, star of the old time great "Mister Ed".

And there's some cool obscure ones like David Cochise (from one of my favorite old cult films "The WARRIORS"). This list just goes on and on. I can't believe they're getting that many stars together like that. I wish I could go.

That would be the chance of a lifetime.

After Michael Jackson died, and Farrah died, we have to honor the people whom we grew up with and that are still making us laugh. And I'm so happy to be part of the creative community -- the people who really create value in the world as opposed to "bankers" who shuffle non-existent "money" around and pretend to create wealth...

Or war mongers and liars that DESTROY instead of create.

Or medical insurance companies that exist to EXCLUDE people.

None of your paper tigers do anything except destroy good work.

So we should only focus on what we want and ignore the idiots.

Am I being virtuous in Jesus eyes because I'm FORCED to give up my money under threat of prison?

How can I personally be generous when what I have is forcibly taken?

If the government is being virtuous by giving away everyone else's money will IT get into heaven?

Your religious argument is lacking on several fronts.

Not the least of which is that Jesus was talking about the personal grace of the INDIVIDUAL.

Fixed it, wasn't Matthew's original manuscript good enough for ya volty?

Typical reich winger, rewriting what ever they need to rewrite, including the Bible to sell their ignorant crap.

Too bad the PRINTED bibles in Matthew 25 says:

The text of the passage appears in Matthew's Gospel, and is the final portion of a section containing a series of parables. From Matthew 25:31–46 (WEB):

31"But when the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then he will sit on the throne of his glory.

32Before him all the nations will be gathered, and he will separate them one from another, as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.

33He will set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

    34Then the King will tell those on his right hand, 'Come, blessed of my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world;

35for I was hungry, and you gave me food to eat. I was thirsty, and you gave me drink. I was a stranger, and you took me in.

36I was naked, and you clothed me. I was sick, and you visited me. I was in prison, and you came to me.'

37"Then the righteous will answer him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry, and feed you; or thirsty, and give you a drink?

38When did we see you as a stranger, and take you in; or naked, and clothe you? 39When did we see you sick, or in prison, and come to you?'

40"The King will answer them, 'Most certainly I tell you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.'

    41Then he will say also to those on the left hand, 'Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire which is prepared for the devil and his angels;

    42for I was hungry, and you didn't give me food to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave me no drink;

43I was a stranger, and you didn't take me in; naked, and you didn't clothe me; sick, and in prison, and you didn't visit me.'

44"Then they will also answer, saying, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and didn't help you?'

45"Then he will answer them, saying, 'Most certainly I tell you, inasmuch as you didn't do it to one of the least of these, you didn't do it to me.'

46These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life."

Umm, Volt, your rewriting of the bible is blasphemous to most Christians son.

Wow, and there's Voltron. Who'd've thunk it?

First, you didn't fix it for me Judas. You fixed it for Jesus.

    He said it. I didn't.

Second, no ones forcing you to do anything other than pay taxes.

And like every citizen those tax dollars will be spent on things you like, and things you don't like.

Don't like paying taxes? Great. Take a number and get in line. But until you change the law and figure out a way to run a country and a government without tax dollars and then implement that way, you have to pay taxes like everyone else and once they're in the PUBLIC coffers, they will be spent on things you like, and things you don't like.

Now, lets talk about what you don't like.

You don't like the idea of a portion of the tax dollars you are going to pay anyway, being used to heal the sick and care for the poor.

    That's what you don't like.

Which says more about your character than any of your self serving smug comments, ever could.

I haven't made that demand Worf, although I do believe that government isn't the answer, nor should it be the FIRST line of protection in that area.

As far as a country not helping it's sick or poor, you're completely free to step up to the plate and lead by example.

If you don't think their taking enough, pay extra this year. They DO allow that you know.

No cliffy, I was simply illustrating how WORF would have to change Christs words to make HIS argument work.

    Wrong dirtbag.

Nothing needs to be changed to apply Matthew 25 to your apathy of the poor.

Jesus made it clear ANYTIME you fail to help the sick, or the poor, you fail him. Anytime.

You are here, like the swine servant of the RNC that you are, preaching against allowing a portion of your measly tax dollars that you pay on your little 1040 every year, be spent on those less fortunate than yourself.

    That's what you're doing.

No other way to slice it.

You TWIST it, to claim someones forcing you to do something, but that's the RNC cue card lie of the day.

You already have to pay taxes asswipe.

You're just fighting against a portion of them being spent on the poor.

Which means NOTHING in Matthew 25 needed to be changed to apply to you.

In fact, he was talking to you.

  156. So you're saying JESUS was promoting big government NOT personal generosity Cliffy?

Well that's a relief. I'll just let the government give my money away as they see fit and know that I have a seat in heaven.

    I'm GENEROUS! I pay taxes!
What a good person I am.

    ReplyDelete
  157. Well volty, YOU had to change Jesus Christs actual words to attack worf's posts, so evidently YOU think so;

Other wise YOU would have felt a meed to change the actual words of Jesus Christ as printed in the English version of the Holy Bible.

YOUR actions seem to say YOU think so but do not like it.

    ReplyDelete
  158. Your actions show you couldn't use Jesus own words to defend your position so YOU had to change the words of Jesus.

Well if you knew the bible then you'd know he actually did endorse the payment of taxes.

Secondly, this has nothing to do with promoting big government.

It has to do with using a PORTION of the voluminous amounts of money we already spend, towards doing some actual good and helping the poor and the sick, and the common working man.

    And YOU are against that.

You're fighting against the idea of taking a portion of your tax dollars, and using them to help the poor and heal the sick, and to lighten the load for so many working Americans who can't get health care.

Which confirms without a doubt what you are.

    ReplyDelete
  160. BTW didn't Jesus also say,

Give to Caesar what is Caesars and give to God what is Gods,

    Aren't taxes Caesar's realm?

Or does gods have a 1040 version he hasn't revealed to us yet.

Seems Jesus says to pay your taxes, and help the poor.

No Worfy, much like I was telling Clif, in case you hadn't noticed medicare and medicaid are going BANKRUPT.

I'm fighting against ever increasing taxes to cover the ever increasing cost.

How much of my money do you need? How much is enough? Should I be able to keep HALF of what I earn?
A quarter of it? A quarter?
How much are YOU willing to pay?

    Where does it stop?

To be generous, you'd have to endorse the use of your yearly tax dollars being used to help the poor and the sick.

    Not be against it.

    ReplyDelete
  165. It is so true, as G of W said:

It's impossible to be against free Public Health Care, and to also be a Christian.

But they comb the bible for any justification for selfishness.

The weird thing is, they say they take the bible literally, yet the ONLY thing they leave out of their politics or religion are CHRIST'S ACTUAL WORDS, HIS COMMANDS AND HIS TEACHINGS!

They leave Christ out of Christianity.

The Church and its teachings are based on a flawed premise: duality. That evil exists, is as powerful as God, or good.

That's why they can't heal as Jesus commanded us to do.

Believing that man is a born sinner is a defeating proposition. In Genesis One (if you are going to get bliblical and religious) man is created in God's image.

In the Adam dream (the mortal dream sleep) he is, but all he has to do is wake up and step outside limitation and mortal thought.

Stop buying into the lie, the false picture.  Why buy the second version?

Why not wake up and claim your power?

Was Jesus advocating giving to Caesar because he KNEW Caesar was such a good guy?

Well junior, they've been going bankrupt since they day they were founded.

That's just another right wing ploy to fool people into fighting against them.

The truth is every government agency is technically bankrupt every year.

    Until congress appropriates new funding.

    ReplyDelete
  168. BTW Volty what your arguing against is the costs the private sector demand to treat the poor,

Much more is spent on health care in the US then the rest of the industrialized world, but the QUALITY of care for the vast majority is not on par, which means the private sector is less efficient then other countries which involve their government to a much greater degree then the US.

BTW the VA system is consistently rated above the private sector, even William the bloody Kristal admitted that last night.

    ReplyDelete
  169. We have plenty of money to cover them.

We just need to take the trillions we're throwing at petty military operations in the middle east and spend it on our own people for a change.

    ReplyDelete
  170. Seems the government is better at giving care to the poor and veterans then the private sector ever has been.

He was advocating the honoring of the laws of the land and the paying of taxes to the government.

And he knew Caesar wasn't a "good guy", and would not give a portion of the tax dollars to the poor.

And thank you for confirming that it is NOT a "good guy" who would withhold funds for the poor from tax funds.

You've just positioned yourself, on the side of Caesar.

where as Christ said that is wrong.

  179. Lets see, I have a choice.

I have to pay taxes anyway, so I could pay taxes and get free medical care in return,....or I could continue to use Voltrons "quality" system, and when a family member gets some life threatening disease, have the insurance company drop us shortly after diagnosis, incur hundreds of thousands of dollars or more in medical bills, lose my home, my cars, move into a shitty apartment on the west side of town, have my credit ruined, and have collection agencies garnish my wages for the next 75 years to pay back the medical bills.

Because according to folks like Voltron, THATS the American way!

    That's what Voltron wants.

I want the super wealthy sand corprations to pay their fair share of taxes like I do but but I dont rewrite and hijack the bible for political gain.

I didnt support a treasonous war based on a pack of lies but but I dont rewrite and hijack the bible for political gain.
