Who won the Republican debate tonight? Would love to hear your comments. Did John McCain actually say this sentence: "We have to dispose of 12 million people who are in the country illegally." If so, was it a Freudian slip?
How many times did Rudy mention how great he was during 911?
If I had to choose a Republican candidate, I'd choose Ron Paul. But I liked Mike Huckabee's brave response to one question. He said it is criminal for CEOs to take 100 million dollar bonuses, while employees who have worked there for 30 years are laid off and they lose their pension plans. He said this is criminal if its not taken care of or prosecuted, no Republican deserves to win in 2008. Here he clearly blamed the Republicans.
One thing for sure, the Reagan Library is a spectacular place. We visited it on Spring Break with the kids.
I WANT YOU!
Before we talk about the Iraq Accountability Act and bringing our troops home, here's how you can SUPPORT OUR TROOPS. This is a great organization that I just donated to. I tried sending my own homemade care packages to the troops, but this group does it better. Donate whatever you can; let's make our troops' last few months in Iraq full of as much comfort and love as we can send them!
Uncle Sam's question of service to country speaks to us all. Will you help those volunteer servicemen and women stationed far from home in harms way? Will you support our troops and Project: Hollywood Cares? They need donations and volunteer help. Project Hollywood Cares
When 1st Class Petty Officer Tyler Borgwardt of the 1/57 EOD company stationed in Iraq was sent a care package containing a selection of DVDs and CDs, he was invited to send us the names of his fellow service members who would also enjoy a package. This invitation is always extended in the personal letter we include in every individually addressed package we send. Here is his grateful reply...
"...Thank you very much for the package. I just received it today. Everyone here definitely agreed that this has been the best package to date. I can't thank you enough. I especially like the EMMY T-shirt. Its my new favorite shirt. Here's a list of people in our company who would be stoked to get a package from you guys..."
Petty officer 1st class Cedric Wilson
Petty officer 1st class Rob Lewis
Petty officer 2nd class Krishna Hadyen
Petty officer 2nd class Steve Andrews
Petty officer 2nd class John Mantle
Petty officer 2nd class Mike Healy
Petty officer 2nd class Eric Konkel
Petty officer 2nd class Curtis Hall
Petty officer 2nd class Kyle Dewey
Petty officer 2nd class Jeremiah Crum
Petty officer 3rd class Nate Breen
Chief petty officer Ron Olmsted
All these people are at the same address that you reached me at. Again thank you very much. We'll be getting some pics together soon and sending them to you.
Sincerely,
Tyler

This is pretty much standard operating procedure for Project: Hollywood Cares these days, - send one package and receive 19 requests. But what we are now able to do (AND DID) is send completely different programs and movies in each of the 20 boxes and create a video collection for all hands of this large EOD company to share and enjoy. It's the military way "to share".
By the way, what's an EOD company do in Iraq? It's an Explosive Ordnance Disposal unit who's daily job is handling, diffusing and disposing of IED's, booby traps and munitions.
Take a moment to again look at the appreciative reaction of these tough bomb experts in the photos above! Would you not agree that we are making a difference in helping our brave servicemen and women serving America far from home in extremely difficult duty!
God Bless the Navy's 1/57 EOD Company and the sacrifices & casualties these tough sailors have endured & suffered
in serving their country.........
PELOSI IS TAKING TALLY FOR IMPEACHMENT
WE HAVE LOST MORE AMERICAN LIVES IN IRAQ (WHICH HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH 911 AS THE PRESIDENT ADMITS) THAN WE LOST ON 9/11. WHAT ON EARTH CAN BE WORTH THE LOSS OF ONE MORE AMERICAN LIFE?
Here's a letter I received from John Conley, the disabled Marine combat vet who sent me his Purple Heart:
"The agenda of this Administration seems obvious to me. Until there is tangible proof to the contrary, I strongly suspect that the reason Bush won't accept a pull-out date from Iraq is because he's simply not allowed to by his boss, Dick Cheney, aka 'big oil's best buddy'. I'm not being sarcastic here. Smart alek in tone, maybe, but not sarcastic.
The grand plan (I'm sure this was addressed at the Cheney super-secret 'energy pow wow' with oil execs in 2000) was for Exxon Mobile and others to basically stake their greedy claims to oil drilling and production rights once we took control of the country while 'granting' the Iraqi government a pittance in royalties. The problem is that big oil is refusing to enter Iraq with workers until the violence drops drastically.
Although he'd never admit it, this scenario is the true indicator of success as described by Cheney and Co: that is, when big oil can begin stealing the country's oil without fear of being blown up. Peace is a great idea, but there will never be peace, short of big oil having control of the Iraqi fields.
This is in reality the only 'bench mark' these guys are interested in no matter what it costs in blood and treasure.
Just thought I'd drop you a note to brighten your day."

Clif, our veteran from the Gulf War asked me to post this today. Congressman Jack Murtha is right, Impeachment is a moral imperative. According to the Constitution, and the laws of our nation President Bush has committed many high crimes and misdemeanors, and should be removed from office before he causes more harm. His war powers should be immediately frozen. No person with morals or good conscience — and no true Christian — can stand by and allow this president to lie, break laws and usurp the U.S. Constitution the way Bush has.
If we can't impeach, can't we start the process and freeze Bush's war powers in the meantime? Read the historic resolution of the California Democratic Party below.
Speaker is taking tally for IMPEACHMENT:
PLEASE CALL Nancy Pelosi's office right now. House Speaker Pelosi's office is taking calls voting for Impeachment of Bush/Cheney at 202-225-0100.
------------------------------------------------
Sparked by an insurgency among delegates, the California Democratic Party has taken an historic step forward on the issue of impeachment. In a resolution affirmed by the full state party convention Sunday, the Democrats called on the U.S. Congress to use its subpoena power to investigate misdeeds of President Bush and Vice President Cheney – and to hold the Administration accountable “with appropriate remedies and
punishment, including impeachment.” The delegate insurgency was coordinated by PDA and our allies.
While Speaker Pelosi had declared impeachment “off the table,” the DemocraticParty rank-and-file has demonstrated its commitment to putting the issue “on” the table. And it’s no longer just the rank-and-file: Even among the members of the
convention’s Resolutions Committee (appointed by the California Party chair), the impeachment resolution was the top vote- getter (tied with one other resolution). Coming on the heels of mass actions and resolutions across the country in support of
impeachment, and Congressman Dennis Kucinich’s introduction of Articles of
Impeachment against Cheney, this action by the powerful California Democratic Party
builds on the pro-impeachment momentum.
The resolution refers to Bush and Cheney
having acted in a manner “subversive of the
Constitution” by. . .
1) using false information to justify the
invasion of Iraq
2) authorizing “the torture of prisoners of
war”
3) “authorizing wiretaps on U.S. citizens
without obtaining a warrant”
4) “disclosing the name of an undercover CIA
operative”
5) suspending “the historic Writ of Habeas
Corpus by ordering the indefinite detention
of so-called enemy combatants”
6) “signing statements used to ignore or
circumvent portions of over 750
Congressional statutes”
The resolution ends by calling for “vigorous investigation” and “appropriate remedies
and punishment, including impeachment.”

That's strength? TO appease your enemy? TO acquiesce to his demands?

ReplyDeleteRudy's Two-Minute Rant About Ferret Owners
Trust me, you've never heard anything quite like Rudy Giuliani's rant about ferrets. It's much, much worse than you all can imagine. I know -- I was there.
Let me explain. Via Atrios, Ana Marie Cox over at Swampland points to a rather odd moment in Vanity Fair's profile of Rudy Giuliani, in which Rudy is quoted unloading on a ferret owner on his radio show as Mayor in the 1990s. VF quotes a few lines of Rudy's startling rant, then moves on.
But the sheer demented nature of Rudy's diatribe is only appreciable if you read the whole thing from beginning to end. How do I know this? I was listening to Rudy on the radio on that day in 1999 when he went off on the ferret owner. Indeed, I was the first to write about it as a reporter for The New York Observer, and it's since entered New York lore. Am I patting myself on the back? Hell, yeah -- this was far and away the best and most important story I've ever broken. Biggest scoop of my life. So without further delay, here's the full transcript of Rudy's ferret rant:
The following exchange occurred on Mayor Rudolph Giuliani's weekly radio show on WABC-AM on July 23. The caller was David Guthartz, a ferrets' rights activist who was upset by a June 29 directive by the city's Board of Health making it illegal to keep ferrets and a range of other animals as pets.
Mayor Giuliani: We're gonna go to David in Oceanside.
David Guthartz: Hello, Mr. Giuliani, we speak again.
Giuliani: Hi, David.
Guthartz: Let me introduce myself again, David Guthartz, executive president of New York Ferrets' Rights Advocacy. Last week when we spoke, you said a very disparaging remark to me, that I should get a life. That was very unprofessional of you. Here we're trying to get something seriously done–
Giuliani: I, I–
Guthartz: Without you talking over me, we're trying to get something very seriously done–
Giuliani: David, you're on my show. I have the right to talk over you.
Guthartz: But here's the thing: We're trying to get an important issue taken care of where the city is violating state law and I asked you last week if you care about the law.
Giuliani: Yes, I do care about the law. I think you have totally and absolutely misinterpreted the law, because there's something deranged about you.
Guthartz: No, there isn't, sir.
Giuliani: The excessive concern that you have for ferrets is something you should examine with a therapist. Not with me.
Guthartz: Don't go insulting me again!
Giuliani: I'm not insulting you. I'm being honest with you. Maybe no one in your life has ever been honest with you.
Guthartz: I happen to be more sane than you.
Giuliani: This conversation is over, David. Thank you. [Mr. Giuliani cuts him off.] There is something really, really, very sad about you. You need help. You need somebody to help you. I know you feel insulted by that, but I'm being honest with you. This excessive concern with little weasels is a sickness.
I'm sorry. That's my opinion. You don't have to accept it. There are probably very few people who would be as honest with you about that. But you should go consult a psychologist or a psychiatrist, and have him help you with this excessive concern, how you are devoting your life to weasels.
There are people in this city and in this world that need a lot of help. Something has gone wrong with you. Your compulsion about it, your excessive concern with it, is a sign of something wrong in your personality. I do not mean to be insulting. I'm trying to be honest with you and I'm trying to give you advice for your own good. I know you, I know how you operate, I know how many times you called here this week. Three or 4 o'clock in the morning, David, you called here.
You have a sickness. I know it's hard for you to accept that, because you hang on to this sickness, and it's your shield, it's your whatever. You know, you gotta go to someone who understands this a lot better than I do. And I know you're real angry at me, you're gonna attack me, but actually you're angry at yourself and you're afraid of what I'm raising with you. And if you don't deal with it, I don't know what you're gonna do. But you called here excessively all week, and you called here at 3 o'clock in the morning. And 4 o'clock in the morning. Over weasels. Over a ferret.
So I know this is difficult and tomorrow one of the newspapers will write how mean I am and how cruel I am and all this other stuff, but I believe, because my father and mother taught me this, that you should be honest with people. And I am giving you the benefit of 55 years of experience having represented hundreds and in some cases thousands of people on either side in the courtroom, having handled insanity defenses and cases.
You need help! And please get it! And you don't have the right to call here at three o'clock in the morning, harass the people on my staff, because of your compulsion. So, David, see what you can do to get help. But we can't help you. We don't have the professional expertise to help you. Now we're gonna move on to Richard in the Bronx.
I don't know if David called Rudy's office at 3 in the morning or not, but either way, it's pretty strange indeed to hear someone who's reached the pinnacle of New York politics still feeling the need to stomp all over someone for two straight minutes merely because he's asked you not to take his pet away from him.

Hi Lydia. One of my readers posted it in a comment, so I have already called. The gal I spoke to told me that the response was overwhelmingly pro-impeachment. :-)
ReplyDeleteVery GOOD article about what life in Baghdad OUTSIDE the green zone is like;
ReplyDeleteBaghdad up close and personal
Tenet is making a fool out of himself on Wolf Blitzer.
ReplyDeleteHe just said that the estimate they gave to the President said Saddam was "FIVE TO SEVEN YEARS AWAY FROM A NUKE", and it added "MODERATE CONFIDENCE".
In other words, they were 5 to 7 years away from even building a nuke, AND, they were only MODERATELY confident that they were even that close!
This is what Bush was given, and he presented it as an IMMINENT THREAT.
Wolf is actually burying him.
ReplyDeleteWho'dve thunk it?
And he's not just burying Tenet.
ReplyDeleteHe's exposing Bush and Cheney in the process.
Wolf is a .....well...... a wolf.
ReplyDeleteThey ought to shove that medal of Freedom up his ass.
ReplyDeleteIs Tenets operational instinct, like Georgies gut?
ReplyDeleteI don't know, but one things for sure Clif.
ReplyDeleteThey were in sync that day, huh?
Did you hear that BULLSHIT he was trying to sell, about ...."well, it wasn't imminence, it was SURPRISE, we were worried about".
ReplyDeleteCould you beleive that?
He makes it sound like he thought Saddam was going to pop up out of a cake or something.
Where the hell in the CIA manual does it talk about "SURPRISE"?
ReplyDeleteWhat the hell is THAT???
I've heard some lame horseshit before, but this has got to be the most ridiculous load of horsecrap since they said Bush reads 15 books a year.
Well Georgie does LOVE him some yes men
ReplyDeletetenet loved being a yes man,
a match made in hell
Did you guys see Condi Rice Sunday when asked about the "immenent threat"................after stuttering and stammering between lies for about 10 minutes she said she would not categorize it as an "IMINENT" threat........so she lied.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking about Condi Rice............she just defied a Congressional Supoena.........why does she think she can get away with obstruction of justice.................i'll tell you why.......because Alberto Gonzalez is in charge of enforcing obstruction of justice charges for not appearing for a Congessional Supoena THATS WHY.
ReplyDeleteThe whole lot of these criminals NEEDS to be impeached starting with Bush, Cheney and Gonzalez.
Gonzalez should not be ALLOWED to politicize the Justice Department, and that is what he has done from day one!
15 books a year;
ReplyDelete1. My Pet goat(he finally finished it)
2. see dick run
3. your first ABC primer.
4. preschool primer of numbers
5. I can wear big boy underpants
6. Big boy book of machines
7. This is a soldier, (a primer for prekindergarten)
8. Can you read (pre school version)
9. What my daddy does at work(abridged version)
10. My Pet Goat II (since the first version was so spell binding for him)
11. Colors are fun
12. Shapes for beginners
13. Big words for little people(Pickles helps him with this one)
14. 1+1+2 and other math problems for head start.
15. My favorite coloring Book(yes he counts that one also)
They're screwed.
ReplyDeleteAnd once again its their GREED thats screwing them.
Tenet wanted the millions of dollars for his book, only in doing so he's exposing himself and Bush.
No one is going to buy his "SURPRISE" bullshit.
His evidence said Saddam was FIVE TO SEVEN YEARS out.
And they only had MODERATE CONFIDENCE in THAT!
In a nutshell, I'd expect to see more barricades on Pennsylvannia ave over the coming weeks.
People are not going to be happy about this.
I saw that Mike.
ReplyDeleteCondi's screwed.
They're all screwed.
They're all on 20 different shows saying 20 different things!
They're screwed.
I mean, SURPISE?
ReplyDeleteTenet actually believes someones going to accept Bush's dire, "MUSHROOM CLOUD OVER WASHINGTON" warnings based on the notion that the CIA didn't want to be "SURPRISED"?
He's going to jail.
George Tenet just admitted on national television, that the reason he allowed the President to MANIPULATE the agency's data, is because he didn't want to be SURPRISED.
ReplyDelete:|
He's going to straight to f@#kin jail.
Based on his EXCUSE for why he allowed the President to cherrypick his intelligence and present it for reasons for invading Iraq, we could have invaded ANY COUNTRY IN THE WORLD!!!!!
ReplyDeleteANY!!!!!!!
ANY COUNTRY IN THE WORLD CAN "SURPRISE US"!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHe's going to jail.
ReplyDeleteHe's going directly to jail.
He will not pass Go.
He will not collect 4 Million dollars for his book.
If he had only said it once, he might have gotten away with saying he misspoke.
ReplyDeleteBut he said it over and over and over and over.
He was clear and articulate.
He looked Wolf Blitzer in the eyes, and said the reason he allowed the President to use the strongest military in the world to invade a tiny soverign nation who was by his assessment, 5 to 7 years away from even POSSESSING a nuke, was because he didn't want to be "SURPRISED".
He just screwed the pooch.
Hey Mike.
ReplyDeleteI'm going next door to my neighors and beating his brains in with a ball bat because....well.... you know.... I don't want to be "SURPRISED".
Bet that gets interesting on Tenet's birthday.... huh?

I have great hope for America now that we are holding the theocratic crooks accountable and the tide is turning.

Gee I thought more of you would be excited about Tenet.
ReplyDeleteHe finally came out and confirmed what we've all been saying for years now.
He admitted that the President KNEW there was no IMMINENT THREAT from Iraq, and his reports said so.
He admitted we were all lied to!
We should be throwing parties.
Well, just watch.
ReplyDeleteTenets interview with Blitzer is going to be a critical peice of evidence in the impeachment hearings of George W Bush.
Other people are going to hear Tenet's NEW song and dance, where he said "well, it wasn't an IMINENT threat, but we didn't want to be SURPRISED".
ReplyDeleteThats why he claims he let the Prez misuse the intelligence reports, and lie to the nation, and the world.
It won't be long now.
By the way, for those of you who think we aren't approaching a corrupt police state, just look at the video of the gestapo pigs in Macarthur Park LA, today.

But how can that possibly be? Isn't L.A. controlled entirely by libs?
Yes it's mighty suspicious that there is no evidence of Bush's hatred of brown people. This has Karl Rove's fingerprints all over it.
Tenet is being maligned by the Dems because he is trying to have it both ways: he's trying to cop out and not take responsibility. Where was he 4 years ago? Why did he wait so long to come forth?
ReplyDeleteAnd by "slam dunk" it turns out what he really meant was "Selling this war to the American people will be a slam dunk."
But you're right; we should at least embrace Tenet for being an insider FINALLY TELLING THE TRUTH.
Where's Colin Powell? Why isn't his conscience eating him alive? Where are the other insiders? They will all be coming out one by one.

You're too stupid to talk to, but I will try to lay this out for your dumb ass.

Many years too late. I prefer to save my admiration for people like Richard Clarke and Siebel Edmonds, who were screaming loudly, early. We all know what the Chimpletons did to them, of course.
Jolly, I bet one of your heroes is Larry Johnson who, in the summer of 2001. proudly declared, as an intelligence officer, that Americans had nothing to fear with terrorism.
ReplyDeleteBut since he is a Liberal and hates Bush, he's a respected pundit. One of YOUR heroes.
From Axis of Logic:
ReplyDelete"The Iraq 'war', as all others before it, was begun solely to further the venal and rapacious interests of American business and power. The war was justified on totally mendacious grounds, invented by the government, and spread like fungus by major media. The major media depends on the kindness and advertising of the very people who benefit the most from the war, and it participated with great vigor in the selling of the war and its justification, moral and otherwise.
The business interests that wanted the war, paid the government, and elected officials to create a scenario where the war could be justified and prosecuted. The business interests that wanted the war, paid the media and its journalists to not just go along but play a strong and active role in selling the lie. One so-called "progressive" voice was heard- that of Norman Solomon, ( of the so-called Progessive Democrats, if your stomach can take it) who got the job of explaining gosh how did this all happen? Solomon appears to be angling to run for something pretty soon. He has turned to a Politicians' Ptolemaic Progressiveness-- perchance he will run on the Ostrich Party ticket. "Well", Norman explained, "we were all bamboozled."
Oh.
Never mentioned: the hundreds, the thousands of anti war blogs, organizations, newspapers, monthlies, writers, and just plain folks, who saw and loudly and demonstratively spoke the truth and who were purposefully ignored, derided-- and often persecuted- for their actions. Never even whispered: the fact that millions of people marched and demonstrated and fought to stop the wars.
But how can that possibly be? Isn't L.A. controlled entirely by libs? Yes it's mighty suspicious that there is no evidence of Bush's hatred of brown people. This has Karl Rove's fingerprints all over it.

Junior, I'm glad you agree that police beating up folks in cities run entirely by libs is evidence of the abuse of power by that the nazi, George Bush.
Obviously the casual readers and us other morons stand in speechless awe in the presence of the astounding mental prowess of libs like you. Thanks comrade.
Look at the trolls show their true colors, the police brutalize women and children and Fascist Fan even though he lives near LA gleefully cracks jokes rather than showing his outrage and disgust.
ReplyDeleteAnd For the record Facist Fan police are almost 100% Reich Wing and almost always authoritarian so it really doesnt matter if the government is not because the police are. and like Jolly said all they need is to see Bush and the Executive abuse and stretch their power for then to try to do the same.
These are the first clear signs that we are becomming an Authoritarian police state.

ReplyDeleteFormer CIA Boss Out of Loop on Parts of His New Book
ReplyDeleteFormer CIA Director George Tenet said today that he was not included in discussions about key portions of his book that have been called into question by eyewitnesses to the events recounted.
“There was no serious debate at the publisher’s office, at least none that included me, about whether to retain certain questionable assertions in my book,” Mr. Tenet told 60 Minutes correspondent Scott Pelley. “And yet, as usual, it looks like I’m going to take the heat for what appears in those pages just because I happen to be the author.”
Mr. Tenet’s book, “At the Center of the Storm“, explains that during his tenure as the nation’s leading intelligence officer, he was intimately involved in many decisions that turned out well, but left “out of the loop” by White House officials on most situations that, in hindsight, have turned out badly.
Among the problematic passages in the book, Mr. Tenet claims that former Pentagon adviser Richard Perle said, on September 12, 2001, that Iraq must pay for the 9/11 terror attacks. Mr. Perle denies making the remark, and says he was out of the country at the time that Mr. Tenet claims he talked with him at the White House.
Publisher HarperCollins has issued an “author’s intelligence estimate” that the book is based on information from a usually reliable source, and that its case against former National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice and former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld is “a slam dunk.”
Oh look the repug smear and lie machine is ALLREADY TRYING to discredit the evidenve against the Bush cronnies,
ReplyDeleteLydia said "And by "slam dunk" it turns out what he really meant was "Selling this war to the American people will be a slam dunk." "

He admitted we were all lied to!
We should be throwing parties."
Well I am excited, but i'll save the parties till the tyrant and all his cronnies are impeached and tried for treason.

LA POLICE BEATINGS OF INNOCENT PEOPLE
I'll warn you though.
ReplyDeleteIt will make you angry.
Its quite shocking.
If you had been there Lydia, they would have beat you too.
ReplyDeleteThey were actually shooting people with rubber bullets.
ReplyDeleteThe News Teams were assaulted, cameras knocked over, cameramen and journalists bludgeoned with batons.
This is beyond illegal. The police do not have that authority. They cannot just beat journalists who are there with press passes and permissions.
The LA Police should start a new Sunday morning news show.
ReplyDeleteThey could call it "Beat the Press".
And did you guys see the kids?
ReplyDeleteThe little kids?
Women with babies even!
Mothers, fathers, shielding their tiny children from storm trooper cowards clad in body armour and helmets, beating at them with batons.
At this point, we have to ask ourselves this.
If the police, (and in Iraq, our military) has no problem beating women and children, and even shooting at them, then who are the bad guys?
Or better yet, who the hell are the good guys?
I just saw the LA stormtroopers..........they were clubbing the media and shooting little kids and people running away...........those nazi pigs shuld be fired and charged with police brutality, excessive use of force and assault with a deadly weapon...........those pieces of dirt need to have their heads knocked in and if they go to prison they probably will.
ReplyDeleteThe community out there is going to riot Mike if they see this kind of stuff being permitted.
ReplyDeleteI don't care what your "orders" are.
If you don't know enough to know that beating a woman holding a small child with a club is wrong, then you should turn your side arm on yourself and do us all a favor.
it seems EVEYONE is outraged at the storm troopers beating and shooting women and children and the media except FF and TT..........they are gleefully cracking jokes about it and changing the subject.
ReplyDeleteAnd that goes for soldiers in Iraq too.
ReplyDeleteI don't care who ordered you to. If you don't know killing a 5 year old kid and her grandmother is wrong, then please, find your way to an IED, and jump up and down on it.
Till it goes BOOM
ReplyDeletePutting on that badge doesn't give you the right to abandon decency, honor or humanity.
ReplyDeleteIn fact, it binds you to embrace those virtues.
Nor does putting on that uniform.
ReplyDeleteWere does this police state mentality end,,,,,,,,,at this rate soon police will be allowed to enter peoples homes............the police and the executive branch have become far too powerful...........civilians right to own guns for home protection should be sacrosanct after that video as it might be the only thing to mitigate the police from being supreme if we keep heading down the same path Bush put us on..................whats to stop Bush from allowing police and Government to search our homes without warrants.........after all its only the next step from allowing him to get away with spying on our phone calls without warrants.
ReplyDeleteI get sick when I see this shit.
ReplyDeleteGrown men acting like nazi pussies, swinging their little pussy nightsticks at screaming running crowds of terrified people.
Newsmen, dressed in suits and ties, along with their cameramen, there as part of the FREE PRESS PROVIDED FOR BY OUR CONSTITUTION,being beaten and having their cameras ripped from their hands and smashed on the ground.
These cops violated the constitution of our country and every single cop in that group should be fired and those guilty of beating people should be sent straight to the same jails they send the people to.
Let them have a taste of their own medicine.
Mike said...
ReplyDeleteat this rate soon police will be allowed to enter peoples homes
Didn't you know? They can do that now!
At any time, for any reason, the police or the government, can enter your home, with or WITHOUT your knowledge.
They can search, seize and even leave behind listening and video devices. They can arrest you for no reason, and you can be taken away in the night, with no rights to an attorney, or rights to hear the charges against you, if there are any, or to see the evidence against you.
They can do this to ANY American at ANY TIME, courtesy of the Patriot act.
All they have to do is say, "he looked like a terrerrist".
:|
Thanks to the patriot act, there have been over 2000 wiretaps without warrants against US citizens for suspected terrorism, and THREE MILLION for drug related offenses.
ReplyDeleteSee whats happening here?
Obviously, TT and Volt want to live in a police state.
ReplyDeleteFF, did you notice how Glenn Beck made the point that global warming deniers are routinely conpared to Nazis, and then, in the LC blog, Jolly Roger made some Nazi reference about you?

Pointing out that I can add 1+1 and come up with 2..... was there a point here?
Bush and his cronnies NEED to be impeached ASAP and stupid ignorant laws that violate the Constitution need to be repealed ASAP.
ReplyDeleteWorfeus is curious.
ReplyDeleteWhat real American wants to live in a police state?
Worfeus wants to know.
Not only were the trolls NOT outraged FF was gleefully making jokes about it.........he clearly must have found it amusing.
ReplyDeleteJolly, I bet one of your heroes is Larry Johnson who, in the summer of 2001. proudly declared, as an intelligence officer, that Americans had nothing to fear with terrorism.
ReplyDeleteBut since he is a Liberal and hates Bush, he's a respected pundit. One of YOUR heroes.
You, too, are too stupid to respond to, but I'll ask the question I always ask. Not that you'd have enough sense to actually think it through.
Who is more dangerous to me-Osama or a Federal Government with unchecked power?
Turning the US into a Fascist dictatorship doesn't make me feel a damned bit safer. Given those two choices, I'll take my chances on avoiding the terrorists.
I know you guys probably think I'm exaggerating what they can do now with regards to entering a home, searching it and bugging it without even a warrant, but I'm NOT.
ReplyDeleteIts all there in the Enablin.....er.... I mean the Patriot Act.
All they have to do is say they suspected you of terrorism.
They don't have to prove it. They just have to suggest it.
Then they can do anything they want.

As son as Police feel comfortable abusing their authority, abuses occur. I don't know if that's human nature, or the result of years of militarizing the Police, or both-but that's what happens. Now please, either answer what I said or STFU, because talking to idiots who can't find their own asses is both tiresome and pointless.

Well Worfeus they both refused to volunteer to serve on active duty, especially since they hawk for this war.

ReplyDeleteMy guess is that they will attack Venezuela for aiding Cuba since it is so dangerous to the US.
ReplyDeleteIt is a slam dunk Mikey.
ReplyDeleteJust watch Pat Leahey.
For the first time I see their plan.
ReplyDeleteFor the first time, I see the method to their madness.
Bush is screwed.
Talking of pre-emptive strikes I think the most likely is a CIA sponsored coup or assassination of Chavez for nationalizing Venezuela's oil...........the Invasion of Iraq was all about making American oil companies and the Bush cronnies rich, and Venezuela just spit in their face I predict something happens in Venezuela in the next 6 months.
ReplyDeleteTowards the end of last year, it came to me, that Bush would be impeached this year. I won't go into detail other than to say I was sure of it.
ReplyDeleteBut I didn't see how. I just knew he would.
Now I see how.
Wow Clif, were we on the same page with that one or what?
ReplyDeleteThe only thing Bush will have to do with Venuzuala is going to be to ask Hugo Chavez for asylum.
ReplyDeleteI'm beginning to think impeachment is more and more likely I tink you are probably right Bush will be inpeached in the next year.........he has clearly lied, violated the Constitution and committed treason and any repugs that put blindly loyal partisanship over justice will only taint themselves for the election.
ReplyDeleteYea, you guys were in sync there.
ReplyDeleteThats kinda freaky.
I don't think it will happen though.
With the upcoming impeachment hearings, the only thing Bush will be permitted to occupy is a holding cell.

ReplyDeleteThe Senate Judiciary Committee chairman issued a subpoena Wednesday to Attorney General Alberto Gonzales in an attempt to get e-mails that President Bush's top political adviser sent regarding last year's firings of eight U.S. attorneys.
Gonzales will have to appear before the committee if the Department of Justice does not respond to the subpoena for Karl Rove's e-mails by May 15.

ReplyDeleteAP: Internal DoJ Probe Targets Goodling
The Justice Department is investigating whether its former White House liaison used political affiliation in deciding who to hire as entry-level prosecutors in U.S. attorneys' offices around the country, The Associated Press has learned.
Doing so is a violation of federal law.
The inquiry involving Monica Goodling, the former counsel and White House liaison for Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, raises new concerns that politics might have cast a shadow over the independence of trial prosecutors who enforce U.S. laws.
Justice spokesman Dean Boyd confirmed Wednesday that the department's inspector general and Office of Professional Responsibility were investigating Goodling's role in hiring career attorneys — an unusual responsibility for her to take.
Goodling "may have taken prohibited considerations into account during such review," Boyd told the AP. "Whether or not the allegation is true is currently the subject of the OIG/OPR investigation."

ReplyDeleteLowest Level So Far, in Harris Poll
President Bush's approval rating slipped to new lows in the most recent Harris Interactive survey, but he's not alone: For the first time since the series began, all of the political figures and institutions included in the survey have negative performance ratings.
Of the 1,001 American adults polled online April 20-23, only 28% had a positive view of Mr. Bush's job performance, down from 32% in February and from a high of 88% in the aftermath of the terror attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. The current rating is his weakest showing since his inauguration.

Bullshit. Right here is an example.
Fascists lie. You are a liar. It is well know, and documented to death, that Hitler's "socialist" rhetoric was introduced to get the support of the German rank-and-file behind him. That you would even try to use this kind of a tactic says more about your own intelligence-and intent-than ten thousand things I might have to say about you. And who do you use to "prove" your stupid assertion? Your credibility is slightly less than your hero's.
Fascism is an authoritarian political ideology (generally tied to a mass movement) that considers individual and other societal interests inferior to the needs of the state, and seeks to forge a type of national unity, usually based on ethnic, religious, cultural, or racial attributes. Various scholars attribute different characteristics to fascism, but the following elements are usually seen as its integral parts: nationalism, authoritarianism, militarism, corporatism, collectivism, totalitarianism, anti-communism, and opposition to economic and political liberalism.....
....In February 1920, the National Socialist German Workers Party (NSDAP) published its first programme which became known as the "25 Points". In the programme the party refused to accept the terms of the Versailles Treaty and called for the reunification of all German people. To reinforce their ideas on nationalism, equal rights were only to be given to German citizens. "Foreigners" and "aliens" would be denied these rights.
To appeal to the working class and socialists, the programme included several measures that would redistribute income and war profits, profit-sharing in large industries, nationalization of trusts, increases in old-age pensions and free education....
...Soon afterwards Eric Ludendorff arrived. Ludendorff had been leader of the German Army at the end of the First World War. He had therefore found Hitler's claim that the war had not been lost by the army but by Jews, Socialists, Communists and the German government, attractive, and was a strong supporter of the Nazi Party.
I'm stopping right here, because I can come up with a thousand of these, not one of which will be from a right wing blogger. Not only are you a Fascist in philosophy, you are an idiot in reality.
It's a good thing you are an "adrenaline junkie".

Chimpy calls himself "compassionate"-but who would be stupid enough to take him at his word? Never mind... I know the answer to that question.
It's a good thing you are an "adrenaline junkie".
ReplyDeleteIt's a good thing I can read and write, and form an opinion of my own-unlike you abnd the rest of the brain addled "twenty percenters." I didn't gfigure I'd get a rebuttal, because you don't have a rebuttal to make. You'll keep saying the same thing over and over again, because that's all you're capable of.
What a sad excuse for a man this one is. Christ.
Bullshit. Right here is an example.
ReplyDeleteFascists lie. You are a liar.
-jr
You're a funny guy junior. Every other word you libs say is a lie.
Your hero Clinton was an "especially good liar". You folks are not the least bit squeamish about telling blatant lies and routinely smearing your opponents with baseless invective like your bogus "nazi" charge.
Do you really think no one can see right through you?
Sounds like you want to confiscate my FIRE ARMS eh comrade?

Yes libs are not interesting in confiscating our guns as long as they are to be used only for "hunting", right? Is that what you think the forefathers had in mind?

ReplyDeleteand MORON I also own guns but don't use that fact to make up for a physical shortcommin' like you obviously do.

ReplyDeleteThat is a meeting this barefoot backwards hillbilly boy would love to participate in.
Chimpleton COWARDS like yourself appear to mistake a reluctance to spend lives and treasure senselessly for timidity. COWARDS like you could hardly be more mistaken.
Uh huh. So tell everyone brave guy, how many years did you spend in the military? (Cubs scouts don't count.)
ReplyDeleteI WANT YOU!
ReplyDeleteYou had me at hello, Lydia...
