GOD BLESS ANNA and DANIEL

My husband said that he had a very beautiful vision of Anna and her son dancing in heaven together, overjoyed. There is no death just eternity to work it out. Anna Nicole died of a broken heart. Every mother knows this.

Rest in peace and Love's Blessings to you Anna and Daniel. I have been crying all night, and can't say why this afffects me so deeply, except that once you have a child you are never the same. A part of your soul goes to that precious child. Children are not meant to die before their parents, and for someone as fragile as Anna, the heartbreak was unbearable.

  1. Death brings peace and serenity to the one that has died, but it brings grief and brokenness to those they leave behind.

  2. That was very beautiful, Lydia. I'm the same way when things like this happen. I never truly understand why I am so personally saddened and affected by these things in such cases where I never knew those involved, but regardless, it still touches me deeply. I myself cried more than a few tears for Anna and Daniel, and I know she is embracing her beloved son where she is. She truly couldn't live without him, and in her last interview, it was so evident how completely broken she was. In life, her strength endured so much, but she could go on no longer. Anna Nicole did die of a broken heart.

  3. Putin: U.S. policies create arms race

    By DAVID RISING,
    Associated Press Writer

    MUNICH, Germany

    - Russian President Vladimir Putin warned Saturday that the United States' increased use of military force is creating a new arms race, with smaller nations turning toward developing nuclear weapons.

Speaking at a conference of the world's top security officials, including the Iranian nuclear negotiator Ali Larijani, Putin said nations "are witnessing an almost uncontained hyper use of force in international relations."

"One state, the United States, has overstepped its national borders in every way," he told the 250 officials, including more than 40 defense and foreign ministers.

"This is nourishing an arms race with the desire of countries to get nuclear weapons," Putin said, but did not elaborate on specifics and did not mention the wars in Iraq or Afghanistan.

  4. Jacq thank you for your beautiful heart. I remember a couple my parents knew who were inseparable. When the wife died, the husband died six months later, of "natural causes." Of course we've all heard of this happening countless times.

  5. Like I have said a dozen times, if we don't control him, other countries are going to step up.

    Its getting dangerous now.

  6. Worf, Putin is correct.

After watching The Secret again this morning, and remembering what I know spiritually, we must promote peace, think peace, and "resist not evil" as the Great Peacemaker commanded.

A new age is dawning, the age of PEACE.

  7. Larry, you're right. I think we are spiritual beings having a human experience. It is crushing for those left behind but we have to start viewing ourselves with a new lens.

  8. Its more than Putin just being correct Lydia.

    Putins words are a warning.

Even if republicans in this country are content to sit back and watch Bush invade and ravage independent nations at will, doesn't meant the rest is.

Putins words are a stern warning to Bush, and to us, that the international community is not going to sit by forever and watch Bush conqueor all the small oil rich nations of the world.

If Bush attacks Iran, other countries, like Russia and China, will come to their aid.

  10. The Russian leader also voiced concern about U.S. plans to build a missile defense system in eastern Europe — likely in Poland and the Czech Republic — and the expansion of NATO as possible challenges to Russia.

"The process of NATO expansion has nothing to do with modernization of the alliance or with ensuring security in Europe," Putin said. "On the contrary, it is a serious factor provoking reduction of mutual trust."

On the missile defense system, Putin said: "I don't want to accuse anyone of being aggressive" but suggested it would seriously change the balance of power and could provoke an unspecified response.

  13. How do we stop him? Why can't we freeze his war powers? Does anyone think our founders thought a dicator could take power so easily? Granted, it's the lack of consensus in Congress, but I wonder who is being blackmailed? Why aren't all republicans jumping ship. The public does not want this aggression.

    ReplyDelete
  14. WE can't stop him Lydia.

The democrats hold power in the congress. They can stop him, but they don't appear to posses the will, or the courage to do it.

They need to pressure their right wing counterparts and force votes in the congress to get him out of office along with Cheney, asap.

This ball gets rolling, and we may not be able to stop it.

I'm hoping that our next President, Hillary :-), will arrest him for trial at The Hague.

Short of that, I can't imagine anything to stop him or any other President from abusing his power.

If you ever get the chance, find a book called "The Rubicon" (I think) which describes the fall of the Roman Republic (not the empire...this is pre-Julius Caesar stuff).

  24. Lydia, I have seen so much on Anna in the last couple days, that I'm ready to scream, but what you wrote touched me. May I say that of all the coverage I have seen on that subject, yours alone was tastefully done.

Carl your completely correct, clif and I have discussed this in depth last year, The Neo Cons could care less about high oil prices or ending our dependency on oil, their purpose is twofold.

    1) World domination by controlling access to the rich oil and natural gas fields of the Middle East.

    2) opening up those rich relatively undeveloped oil and natural gas fields to American Energy companies who can make trillions either developing or buying up portions of their reserves as well as maintaining the Petro Dollar.

Winning the cold War is a good analogy Carl, because in the 21st Century he who controls the worlds energy is a Superpower and the Neo Cons who are also in bed with big oil are after two thinks world dominance and power and money, and in their view toppling the USA hostile governments of Iran and Iraq and installing puppet governments beholden to the USA will help them achieve both objectives.

The Bush administration is haunted by the history of intelligence blunders about Saddam Hussein's supposed weapons of mass destruction as the United States tries to document that Iran is providing lethal help to Iraqi fighters.

After weeks of preparation and revisions, U.S. officials are preparing to detail evidence supporting administration's claims of Iran's meddlesome and deadly activities. A briefing was scheduled Sunday in Baghdad.

But maybe he does. Maybe he thinks they won't do anything.

But one things for sure. The White House making a public case against Iran is a prelude to war.

    Plain and simple.

Congress is wasting their time with tax reforms, non binding resolutions and health care.

We are going to war people. Bush is going to strike Iran.

Thats the only thing that matters.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Well Worf, I would hope that this time that Congress shows a spine and doesnt just vote to bomb Iran because they are afraid of getting smeared by Karl Rove in the next election, and that is regardless of another mysterious 9/11 type event happening to scare people into supporting war.

    ReplyDelete
  35. But the American people do have the power to pressure congress. But we're too busy with our lives and careers to really do anything.

I agree, and I want to see this SOB impeached just as bad as you, but they have to wait till he exposes his hand with this so called evidence on Iran and makes his intentions clear to all, and they have to move forward vigorously with the hearings and investigations to make sure impeachment is a slam dunk.

With the lies leading up to the war, the lost 12 billion dollars, the illegal spying on American citizens, and the outing of Valerie plame etc....that we allready know NOW, I think we have the grounds to impeach this idiot, but we need to make sure we have him dead to rights and its a slam dunk.

And Worf your right The Democrats NEED to start pressuring and smearing the repugs that still support Bush, they need to smear them just like Rove did, so if they want to be re erlected they will bend to the will of the people.

I agree that China and Russia wont just sit back and allow us to do as we please in the world any more than the world allowed Hitler to exert his will on the world.

their arguments are so weak, empty and illogical that its ludicris.

Two of those never even really left the exploitation industry (Rock and Foley). Ventura all but made a complete ass of himself as governor, and Layfield works for Fox which is a lot like working in pro wrestling only without the respect of people nationwide.

  92. Worf,

Iran is going to have nuclear power. That's a given. They're thirty years past peak oil and it's either that or destroy their national economy by hoarding their own oil.

The question is, how seriously will Putin and Hu make America pay for trying to stop them?

  93. AP: David Addington Chief Legal Advisor for Cheney told the jury Friday that he was taken aback when the White House issued statements saying Rove and Libby were the CIA leakers.

Addington told the jury he asked Dan Bartlett why they were issuing those statements, and Bartlett replied "your boss Cheney is the one ordering them."

Addington says Cheney, Rove and Libby were working to rebut the claims of Joe Wilson.

Looks like everyone is turning on Cheney.

  94. Some people say it's rude to speak of the dead in unflattering terms, but Anna Nicole Smith died early because she looked for happiness in megadoses of drugs and megabucks from an old man in a wheelchair. Did she have any shame?

Like anything -- fire, for instance -- money and drugs can be used properly.

But Anna Nicole Smith was NOT a heroic figure in life, and is not an iconic figure in death. She does not deserve to have a place in the pantheon of American heroes. She represented the spiritual sickness of America. She was a money-grubbing, gold-digging hussy whose twin missions in life were to relieve old men of their millions, and to medicate herself into the faux peace and happiness that her money and fame did not bring her, though she always thought they would.

We may mark her passing with lofty words and quotes from poets (e.g., "What made us dare to dream that she would comb gray hair?" etc.), but, in the end, she was responsible for her own demise. We wish her family well, but she was no hero.

Yes. Some people do say that.

  99. Worf, how about your Liberal buddies over at DU who started a thread that went something like "Ford, Dead at Last."

I spoke the truth. I'm not here to be polite. The wall-to-wall coverage of her death may very well encourage young women to emulate her.

  100. She died the same way Elvis did: fat, face down in his own vomit, and as an addict. I see no glory in that, but he did make some good records. What did Ms. Smith ever do? Take her clothes off?

  101. Why is it men, and I use the term loosely, like you, always try to excuse their own shallow behavior by funding examples of others acting in a likewise shameful manner?

  102. I am not glorifying her TT. In fact, I pointed out earlier that other people died that same day, and tried to shift focus back to more important matters. Like stopping the butcher you support from butchering more people.

But I am not disrespecting the recently departed either, as you are.

I was raised better than that.

  104. I'm not rejoicing at her death. I am taking issue with all the kudos and accolades that are being directed at her. I am taking issue with those who have been glorifying her life. I am saying that girls and young women should not be tempted to try to be her with all the beautiful words that are being spoken about her.

  105. You do all those things by trashing her.

    Typical.

Regardless of what you think of someone, unless they were some sort of mass murderer or something, good people, decent people, do not disrespect the recently departed.

We have all stated the over the top media coverage was ridiculous, and Lydia's article even talks to that.

But small texan ignores those statements, and begins lecturing people on her, and disrespecting her death before the body is even in the ground.

He shows his true nature. His lack of character. And he shows us he is not good and decent man as he purports.

No one said you were "rejoicing".

We said you were "disrespecting" her and her passing.

Which in my book, makes you a foul little person.

Lydia's article, and the comments in here have already addressed that. You just skipped right over that, and began lecturing us while you demean the memory of someone who's body is not even in the ground yet.

And I hope you get equal sentiment on your own passing.

  113. We need to reframe the entire anti-war argument and speed things up , bring solutions, and stop this insane focus on petty gossip in the media. the Nancy Pelosi "plane" incidentn is a perfect example of distraction.

I want to post profiles of soldiers who died in this war. Does anyone want to submit a story?

I'll combe the internet for one.

In the meantime, regarding TT's comments. I do understand what he's saying about young girls getting the wrong idea, the way the media is making Anna Nicole into an icon.

I certainly don't admire her choices in life. But the moment her son died, it's as if everything snapped into crystal clarity: none of the superficial worldl things she was striving for had any meaning. Her soul longed for the only thing that mattered: love, her loved one, her child. All the money and fame and accolades in the world cannot replace the loss of a loved one.

That's the Greek tragedy. It's always the same story. We go after all the wrong things in life, only to find that home is where the heart is.

Anna Nicole stated that if she had it to do over again, she would have stayed on a small farm and had lots of children, and been happily married.

I look around at what I have here at home: a loving family, and this brings me such joy.

Watch THE SECRET: the kingdom of heaven is within you, not outside. There is no heaven far off somewhere; it's in our hearts. And when we ALL turn our hearts to love, that's when we will see heaven.

Once you have this consciousness of love, the outside changes.

  115. Lydia, the key word in your excellent post is "choices." She made the wrong choices, but you are right, we need to focus on the real heroes. The great unwashed masses may concern themselves with American Idol, and yet the vast majority of Americans don't vote and can't name the current vice president. I fear we are turning into a nation of zombies and boob tube idiots.

I don't revel in anyone's anguish, but her celebrity, in life and in death, is a reflection of what we are becoming as a people. As you said, Lyidia, what you focus on gets bigger, and the mindless bullcrap that most Americans focus on is only expanding. Anna Nicole, the Astro Nut wearing diapers -- it never ends. It's all BS.

Republican or Democrat, we, as a people, can do better than having all three cable news networks cover Anna Nicole Smith's death like a presidential funeral.

  116. Lydia, yes, I did hear about the sub and some other high end systems in Bush's budget, better suited for use in the cold war, but needed to keep the $GOPork flowing. I'm so ready for a regime change. Oh, if you have time, the next article in the religious left series id up at my place.

Jacq, you sure have that right. It's all about selling soap. Did you notice that the channel describing the tragedy with the most cleavage shots was 'family values' FAUX Noise?

TT, for once we agree. We should be able to do better. And certainly the choices Anna made were her own. That's what we get when broadcast media is allowed to forget their social responsibilities to the extent that they have devolved from informing onto infotainment.
