THANK YOU!! LOVE YOU XOXOXOOXXOXOXOXO

Valerie Harper is DOING GREAT!! She is amazing. She has the most beautiful spirit and finds joy n every moment. She knows that we are all terminal and we just have to find the joy in every single moment. Don't let a minute of your life go by that you are complaining or whining or not appreciating LIFE. It is totally what you make it. "Bloom where you're planted." Love her and loved reminiscing about Ted Knight and Mary Tyler Moore.

Valerie's was always an inspiring story. As a kid we of course like most families had one single television for the entire house, so most of the time you watched what your parents watched and "the Mary Tyler Moore Show" was a staple in every American household. Women liked it because Mary was a "Modern woman" and Men liked it because Mary was nice to look at. And then came "Rhoda". I was a fledgling teen, and boy did that "divorcee next door" get a young man excited. I had not what I'd call a crush, but the "hots" for Rhoda. We all did. In fact, I read years later that they actually had to "dress her down" in baggy clothes and sweats and things because men were finding her hotter than Mary Tyler Moore. Especially young men. "The Graduate" did a number on all of us teen age boys back then, we all wanted our own "Mrs Robinson" and "Rhoda" fit that bill. But what was also cool was Rhoda was sort of an "average" person by Hollywood standards back then which was something you just didn't see a lot of. Lots of them played average people, but Valerie Harper had that "down home" appeal that made her a favorite of men and women. My Mom always liked her too.

When I heard she had cancer I was saddened and thought she was done, so when she turned it around I was inspired and thrilled. She really is an inspiration. And it goes to show that what you have been trying to pound into peoples heads in here that what we believe and focus on can really change our lives in a real way. The mind is more powerful than we know.

Way to go Rhoda. And you're still hot. (wink wink :)

  3. I listened to the podcast yesterday while at work...awesome and inspiring...as soon as it was over I got up and started spreading the love around the office to my 350 grumpy co-workers. I walked around, smiled at everyone, complimented people for no reason, and whenever anyone said "Hi, how's it goin'?" in passing, not expecting an answer, I would say "Fantastic!" or "Couldn't be better!" or something like that... Got a lot of curious looks, but a lot of smiles... :)

Way to go, yes it definitely works. People respond to genuine warmth and kindness. And the great thing about it is that I've found, is they seem to almost always (except for a few who just don't seem to be pliable in that way) pay it forward. Great story.

Jesus came and condemned one sort of person and one only. Those declaring themselves the pious.

Pope Francis is as Christlike a man as I've ever seen in my life, and Joel Osteen is a fine preacher and pastor, preaching the "good news" in a kind, decent Christlike manner.

Preaching hate like the Westboro Baptist Church isn't what Christ preached
