    "Stephen Hawking believes in global Warming."

    However.......

    ........if we are to trust the highly respected Dr. Hawkings opinions about global warming, should we not also have confidence in his other beliefs?

    I advise you Johnny to go out and get a copy of the movie, "In the Shadow of the Moon".

    It is a wonderful account of the Apollo missions with some of the most beautiful footage of the landings including Apollo 11. It of course includes constant input from the astronauts themselves.

    Now, keep in mind in all of human history, only 24 men have ever seen the full circle of the earth, from the blackness of space.

    I invite you to listen to their commentaries at the end.

    Listen to men like Jim Lovell and Charlie Duke. Alan Bean and Gene Cernan, as they explain to us their epiphanies both of a spiritual nature, and of our stewardship over this earth.

    Listen to these men who walked on another world, and saw this earth from the vastness of space hanging like a jewel in the endless blackness of eternity, and how they know that it did not just happen.

    Listen to Charlie Duke, (who not only walked on the moon but was Capcom communicator for Apollo 11) as he explains how he knew that there had to be a creator, who is above even the religions man invents to govern himself.

    Listen to Alan Bean, and John Young, and Micheal Collins as they warn us that rather than worrying about the price of a gallon of gas, that we'd BETTER start thinking about this fragile earth, and what sort of environment we're handing to our kids and grandkids.

    Or don't.

    If you want, be content in your own pompous self gratification that feeds your infantile ego and tells you all is well if you just say it is. Find right wing lies to pump you up, and sooth you to sleep at night.

    But any honest man who watches this movie, and listens to these great men, ..cannot go away changed forever.

    And that's ALL I have to say about that.

    Carry on.

  7. For dummytron;

    Graph of the Day: Annual Global Temperature Means from NASA, NCDC, and Hadley Centre, 1880-2010

    The world’s 13 warmest years have all occurred in the 15 years since 1997. The planet’s average surface temperature has increased by about 0.8 °C

    Global-average surface temperatures were the warmest on record in 2010 (slightly higher than 2005 and 1998). 2011 was the world’s 11th warmest year, and the warmest year on record during a La NiƱa event.

    It is very likely (at least 90 per cent likelihood) that most of the observed global warming since the mid-20th century is due to increases in greenhouse gases from human activities. Human activities also have influenced ocean warming, sea-level rise, and temperature extremes. It is very unlikely (less than ten per cent likelihood) that 20th century warming can be explained by natural variability alone.

    Now dummytron go back to spewing your brain numbing right wing RNC daily talking points.

    That wasn't an arguing point voltron.

    That was a challenge.

    Just watch the movie. Listen to the men who first walked and talked on the moon at the end, and what they have to say. But only after watching the movie all the way through, so you can see where they are coming from, and why they say what they say.

    That's a challenge because no honest man could watch that without being impacted greatly.

    Not even you.

  11. Okay, Worf, I will check this movie out when I get a chance;I am very busy lately.

    I still have that movie you recommended years ago......“On The Beach”? It’s about the last submarine on Earth looking for life or something?

    BTW, perhaps global warming is the new vogue for this decade? Similar to when global cooling was in fashion back in the seventies and eighties……LOL!

  12. Just finished watching a movie called "The Bank Job"........OUTSTANDING!!!

    Hard to believe its true.

  13. The FIRST paragraph of mook mooks link;(emphasis mine)

    Global cooling was a conjecture during the 1970s of imminent cooling of the Earth's surface and atmosphere along with a posited commencement of glaciation. This hypothesis had little support in the scientific community, but gained temporary popular attention due to a combination of a slight downward trend of temperatures from the 1940s to the early 1970s and press reports that did not accurately reflect the scientific understanding of ice age cycles. In contrast to the global cooling conjecture, the current scientific opinion on climate change is that the Earth has not durably cooled, but undergone global warming throughout the twentieth century.

    He should try READING the links he posts;

    Then he wouldn't look so insidiously uninformed on the truth of the overly irrational perspective that the right wing talking points he pushes possess.

    ;)

    Are we in the dark ages again? What on earth would possess a supposed "man of God" to speak the EXACT OPPOSITE OF EVEYRTHING CHRIST STOOD FOR? HOW DARE HE AND FRED PHELPS BE ALLOWED TO ENGAGE IN EXTERMINATION SPEAK.
